Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "WOW, what a ride !!!" |

PVR's 2005 Vintage Swap Meet Best Yet!
by Michael McCook
York, PA. Host Rae Tyson and his Potomac Vintage Riders www.potomacvintageriders.com sure know how to
throw a vintage bike show and swap meet! On a brisk beautiful Sunday in south central Pennsylvania,
over 800 vintage motorcycle enthusiasts descended on the York County Fairgrounds to buy, sell and trade
everything from hard-to-find parts, memorabilia and complete bikes. Riders and collectors traveled from
as far as Indiana, Georgia and Maine to take part in this awesome event. Business was swift for the well
stocked vendors and the buyers were eyeing up literally thousands of rare parts. Spotted in the crowd
were the likes of Harlan Diem, Terry Davis, Bob Brooks, Bill Eyler, Joe Abbate, Bruce Rounsaville and six foot
fourteen Rik Smits. The bike show was a wonderful collection of pristine vintage machines with onlookers
snapping photos all day long. I even snatched up a super clean race-ready 77 CR125 Elsinore.
Thanks Mark! Stay tuned to the PVR website for info on upcoming events. Special thanks to PVR's Don
Broxon for these great bike pics. See you there in 06!
