January 21, 2007 - The Potomac Vintage Riders, sponsors of the AHRMA Mid-Atlantic motocross and cross-country series hit another one out of the park with their annual Swap meet held at the York Fairgrounds in York, PA. Frigid temps, and the threat of early afternoon snow couldn’t stop the more than 100 vendors and 1000 plus visitors from having the most successful event in it’s history. “It may have been the biggest swap meet ever. I have never seen such crowds. Nor have I heard so much positive feedback from vendors and visitors alike” said Rae Tyson, PVR President.
Two huge auditorium halls held a whole range of bikes, parts, memorabilia, and publications. A bike show had entries from many makes including Husqvarna, CZ, Honda, Ducati, Bultaco, Harley, Benelli, Carabela, and Moto Parilla.
A special round of thanks go out to all of our vendors and visitors who make this such a great event each year. The PVR guys also do a great job of organizing the event into a very ordered and successful venue for vendors and bike sellers. More kudos go out to Co-VP Will Gahrmann and our loyal PVR members for all of their excellent volunteer help and for braving the long ride home in the snow and ice storm that followed.
